Class II DIV II with deep bite and arch deficiency

Patient details Age: 28 years old Gender: Female Chief complain: crowding in upper and lower teeth – shy smile


Diagnosis

  • Class II Div II

  • Deep bite (5 mm)

  • Moderate crowding in upper arch (7 mm)

  • Moderate crowding in lower arch (6mm)

  • Midline shift (3 mm)


Treatment planning Number of aligners: Upper: 36 aligners (3 phases) and 10 refinement (2 phase refinements) Lower: 28 aligners (3 phases) and 6 refinement (1 phase refinement) Total treatment: 18 months


Treatment objective

  • Align upper and lower teeth

  • Achieve class I molar and canine relationship

  • Midline shift correction

  • A stable Overjet and overbite

  • Correct the deepbite

  • Expansion in upper arch bilaterally and uprightning of buccal segments in lower

  • Decrowding through aid of IPR

  • Class II elastics where used for the last 5 months

  • Improve the Overjet and overbite

  • Torquing the front segments at end of treatment with the aid of ball forces


Results and conclusion posttreatment
